City guides
Events this week and things to do, city by city. Start with Cape Town, our home city, or pick where you are headed next.
Showing Cape Town first
Every city has its own rhythm. Some come alive late at night, some on Sunday mornings, and some only when the weather plays along. These guides are written to help you find that rhythm quickly, whether you are new in town, visiting for a weekend or simply bored of doing the same thing every Friday.
Each city has a short hub, an events guide and a things-to-do guide. Events this week groups the kinds of nights the city has. Things to do does not depend on dates: date nights, free days out, time outdoors and rainy days. The Places and Events feeds also link a weekend article and a weekly article for every city listed here. A city appears on this page only once those pages are written.

How the guides are made
The things-to-do guides are written by people, not generated from a database, and they focus on the kind of local knowledge that is hard to find in a list of results: which part of town suits which plan, what the weather does to your day, and what is worth booking ahead. They are reviewed regularly and changed when the city changes.
FeelingFlexi does not sell tickets. The app shows events published by ticket and event partners, including Quicket, Platinumlist, Fever, Ticketmaster and Moshtix, depending on the city. When you choose an event there, the link takes you to the partner, where you can check the details and buy. This site does not invent a calendar for a city that does not have a live list yet.
What you’ll find in each guide
Every things-to-do guide follows the same four sections, so you can compare cities quickly. Date night covers places and plans that work for two, from sunset spots to small music venues. Free collects walks, parks, markets and neighbourhoods you can enjoy without spending anything. Outdoors looks at hikes, beaches, gardens and scenic drives, with a note on the season and conditions that suit them. Rainy day is for when the weather turns: museums, indoor markets, long lunches and anything with a roof.
The events pages are grouped into Music, Food & Drink, Nightlife, Festivals and Tours & Outdoors. Until a city has a live feed, the page stays copy-led: the categories, how to plan a weekend, and an example week that is labelled as an example. It is not published as a list of real events.
Why Cape Town comes first
FeelingFlexi started in Cape Town, and it is still the city the app opens on if you don’t share a location. That is why its guide is the most detailed and why it is the worked example for every other city: the same structure, the same honesty about what is and isn’t listed, and the same focus on helping you decide rather than scroll.
Travelling or moving city?
If you are planning a trip, start with the city’s things-to-do guide to get a feel for the neighbourhoods, then check the events page closer to your dates. When you are already there and want to decide on the spot, the FeelingFlexi app lets you search any city, pick a distance and swipe through what’s on. You can use it as a guest, and the events you like stay on your device.
Coverage is not the same everywhere. Some cities have a deep calendar every week, while others have fewer listings outside weekends and holidays. The guides say so where it matters, so you know what to expect before you go.
Questions
Which cities does FeelingFlexi cover?
This page lists every city with a guide. Cape Town is our home city and has the most detailed guide. A live event list for a city, when we publish one, comes from ticket partners in that market. Cities without a written guide are not linked from here.
Is FeelingFlexi free to use?
Yes. The guides are free to read and the web app is free to use as a guest. When a ticket partner sells an event, you buy it from them, at the price they set. FeelingFlexi does not sell tickets.
Can I use FeelingFlexi in a city that is not listed here?
Yes. In the app you can search for any city and set a distance. How many events you see depends on what partners list there. This page only links cities whose guides are already written.
How do I suggest a city?
Email feedback@feelingflexi.com with the city and what you would like to see in its guide.
