Events in London this week

Markets, theatre, food, parks and the river. The cards below are an example week, not a live listing.

London’s calendar is a mix of huge annual days and ordinary good nights. The Marathon, Wimbledon, the Proms, Notting Hill Carnival and the Lord Mayor’s Show are famous. So are Borough Market, a West End curtain, and whatever is happening in a small room in Soho or Dalston. This page will not pretend a sample card is any of those.

There is no live feed here. The notes describe real, recurring parts of the city: Borough Market, Columbia Road, the Southbank Centre, the Barbican, the parks and the river. The cards are a sample of listing format. They are not real events, FeelingFlexi is not selling tickets for them, and they are not Event structured data.

Example week, not a live listing. Example week, not a live listing. Every card below is a sample, marked Example. Names, venues and prices are illustrative. There is no ticket link, and none of these cards are Event structured data.

Music

Live music in London runs from pub rooms and small clubs to the Barbican, the Royal Albert Hall and festival sites that move each year. The Proms are a summer season at the Albert Hall, not a weekly listing. A sample card is not a bill. Check before you go.

Food & Drink

Borough Market is the famous food market on the south side of London Bridge, and it is not open every morning of the year in the same way. Broadway Market, Maltby Street and the Sunday flower market on Columbia Road are other real answers, on their own days. Hours change. Check before you go. A supper club on a sample card is not a table you can reserve.

Nightlife

Soho is still the simplest dense night: dinner, then a room within walking distance. Shoreditch and Dalston are the east. The South Bank is better early than late. Sort out the way home before the last Tube becomes the plot of the evening. Night buses exist; know the route rather than hoping.

Festivals

The events outsiders know are annual or seasonal. The London Marathon, Wimbledon, the Proms, Notting Hill Carnival and the Lord Mayor’s Show are real, and this page will not assign them to the example week. Frieze is an autumn art fair in Regent’s Park in some years. Check the year you mean. A sample makers’ card is not a festival pass.

Tours & Outdoors

The outdoor plans that are actually in London are the royal parks, Hampstead Heath, the Thames path, Greenwich Park and a boat when one is running. Kew is a half-day west of the centre. The sample walks below are not a tour company. Check weather, and check timed entry if you want the Sky Garden or a palace.

How to use this week

Pick a bank of the river and a time of day. Friday can be the South Bank while it is still busy, then Soho if you want a room. Saturday is a market or a park, not both plus Greenwich plus a show. Sunday is Columbia Road or the heath or Kew, and only one of them.

The cards above are samples. If you want a real ticket, use the venue’s own schedule or the FeelingFlexi app, where a partner listing is sold by that partner. FeelingFlexi does not sell tickets on this page.

Questions

Are these London events real?

No. Each card is an example and says so. There is no ticket link. The writing around the cards names real markets, real venues and real annual events without putting those annual events on a fake date.

Where is the Notting Hill Carnival listing?

Not here. Carnival is the August bank-holiday weekend. Check the year. The same applies to the London Marathon, Wimbledon, the Proms and the Lord Mayor’s Show.

Where should I look for a real ticket?

FeelingFlexi does not sell tickets on this page. Use the theatre, museum or Southbank Centre schedule, or the FeelingFlexi app, where a partner listing is sold by that partner.

What if I only have one night?

Walk the South Bank while it is busy, then eat in Soho or on the south side near Borough. Add a show only if you have already seen one you want. Leave Greenwich and the heath for daylight.
