Events in Sydney this week

Ferries, beaches, food, music and the harbour. The cards below are an example week, not a live listing.

Example week · this weekWeekend sample · this weekend

Sydney’s calendar is a mix of huge seasonal nights and ordinary good weekends. New Year’s Eve, Vivid, Sydney Festival and Mardi Gras are famous. So are a ferry, a coastal walk, and whatever is actually on at the Opera House. This page will not pretend a sample card is any of those.

There is no live feed here. The notes describe real, recurring parts of the city: Circular Quay, Bondi, The Rocks, Surry Hills, Carriageworks and the harbour itself. The cards are a sample of listing format. They are not real events, FeelingFlexi is not selling tickets for them, and they are not Event structured data.

Example week, not a live listing. Example week, not a live listing. Every card below is a sample, marked Example. Names, venues and prices are illustrative. There is no ticket link, and none of these cards are Event structured data.

Music

Live music in Sydney runs from small rooms in the inner suburbs to the Opera House, the Enmore, and outdoor bills that move each year. A sample card is not a programme. Check before you go.

Food & Drink

Sydney eats by neighbourhood: Surry Hills, Newtown, Chinatown, and a long lunch near the water if you have booked it. The Sydney Fish Market has been moving to a new home at Blackwattle Bay. Check which site is trading. Hours change. A supper on a sample card is not a table you can reserve.

Nightlife

King Street in Newtown and the streets of Surry Hills and Darlinghurst are the walkable nights. The Rocks is better early. Know the last train or the night bus before you need it. Lockout laws and venue licences have changed over the years. Check the room.

Festivals

The events outsiders know are seasonal. New Year’s Eve, Sydney Festival, Mardi Gras and Vivid are real, and this page will not assign them to the example week. A sample harbour card is not a fireworks permit.

Tours & Outdoors

The outdoor plans that are actually in Sydney are the coastal walk, the Botanic Garden, Centennial Park, a ferry to Manly, and a harbour swim only where it is safe that day. The sample cards below are not a tour company. The paid bridge climb is a separate operator. Check it if you want it, and do not treat a sample card as a booking.

How to use this week

Pick a shore. Friday can be The Rocks while it is still busy, then Surry Hills if you want a room. Saturday is the coast or a ferry, not both plus a show. Sunday is the garden, Centennial Park, or Manly if Saturday was the beach.

The cards above are samples. If you want a real ticket, use the venue’s own schedule or the FeelingFlexi app, where a partner listing is sold by that partner. FeelingFlexi does not sell tickets on this page.

Questions

Are these Sydney events real?

No. Each card is an example and says so. There is no ticket link. The writing around the cards names real places and real seasonal events without putting those seasonal events on a fake date.

Where is the Vivid Sydney listing?

Not here. Vivid is a seasonal lights festival. Check the year. The same applies to New Year’s Eve, Sydney Festival and Mardi Gras.

Where should I look for a real ticket?

FeelingFlexi does not sell tickets on this page. Use the Opera House or the venue’s own schedule, or the FeelingFlexi app, where a partner listing is sold by that partner.

What if I only have one night?

Walk Circular Quay and The Rocks while it is busy, then eat in Surry Hills. Add a show only if you have already seen one you want. Leave Manly and the coastal walk for daylight.
